After some more thinking and a fresh head I found a solution for the type specimen…
Since the slider moved quickly with just a little movement I've reduced the number of letters in the animation. The result is a smoother animation even if you move it really fast initially.
Additionally I've added a kind of label/guide to the slider. This details the functionality in a clear and simple way.
See the screen recording for full demo.
Lastly, after some consideration decided I do want to name each of the fonts and settled on Dot2Dot for this first output.
That's the last couple of weeks in summary, hoping to continue the surf on this wave of motivation and find some balance.
Hopefully going live with the site early next month 🤞🏻

Alright, been a minute haha.
Really trying to find some more consistency again has been tricky, sometimes things in life get busy and it's important to socialise, be with friends and experience new things outside of sitting at the computer, working. That being said finding a balance has always been tricky for me if I'm going out I want to be out all the time, the consequence can be not having any motivation / being hungover and not wanting to work on this.
I've downloaded a new app to help plot out a map of the remaining tasks called Notion. It's reassuring having it all written down in one place like this and encourages some discipline to stick to timelines and actually set deadlines. Like all habits I will try to stick with it and hopefully it will help me to find the balance I'm looking for in some ways.
